Gov/Mag drive gear timing on a BN

I goofed up last night and pulled out the drive gear on my BN that comes off the cam gear and runs the magneto and governor. My IT service manual doesn't say anthing about timing it, but I assume that I just match up the mark on the gear with a matching mark I shoud find on the cam drive gear....is that right? Any other words of advice are welcome.
