IH C temperature valve gap??

Just installed a new temperature gauge on the IH C and it runs at 200 degrees F after 15-20 minutes is this too hot? I can see the antifreeze circulating when the radiator cap is removed plus it sounds like the coolant is boiling. I cleaned out the radiator cooling fins with garden hose water and the fins are not clogged.

Also the valve gap seem excessive can anyone tell me what the valve gap should be? I don't know if this would cause the engine to run hot or not.

Finally did the C have a thermostat? If yes, I can check and make sure its open.
