1256 engine vs. 1456

Our 12 finally layed down and died yesterday. At just over 10,000 hours we sure can't complain. It has been an excellent tractor. It got extremely hot once, and that took a few hours off her life. What is the difference in the engine in the 1256 vs. the 14, if any?

When I rebuild her, if possible, I was wanting to know if the 14 had bigger pistons, or a different crank or what? Out of curiosity, no one has got a 407 laying around do they?
