Update: Took it apart today. Teeth from one of the timing gears were laying in the pan, no visible damage to valves or cylinder tops, 3-4 bent push rods. We will probably remove engine from frame because of how we have the tractor split and the stands we use. Any idea on what caused these teeth to fail? Thoughts from you guys about what to and what not to replace? We will probably do a complete overhaul, but maybe skipping the cam if it looks undamaged and the lifters are all right. There is no scarring in the sleeves, and you can only feel the slightest rise when running your finger from the wore to unworn part of the sleeve. Thanks for all the info RPM
