I have 4 brood cows in about 7 acres of pasture. With them and the calves that is not enough pasture. I let them out into other lots for them to get enough feed and to keep me from having to mow the yard. I generally feed them about 2/3 of a square bale each and some ground corn feed in the winter months. That's what I do if that helps.
