On my 1947 Farmall A, I am experiencing a drain of 0.3 volts when I test between the positive terminal and the positive ground ground wire (when the cable is un-hooked and the voltage regulator wires are also un-hooked). When the voltage regulator is connected, I show a full 8.3 volts drain between the same battery post and the cable (I installed an 8v battery). (lights off, etc). I have replaced ALL the wiring since, and no solution. When I connect the battery cable to the battery, the switch area starts to smoke. SO now I'm trying to trouble shoot the problem. 1) Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the light switch so I can test that with my multi-tester? 2) Could I have mutliple problems (also regulator issues or generator issues)? Any help would be appreciated.
