Farmall Regular oil leak

My 1929 Regular has a bad oil leak on the right side of engine where the bell housing attaches to the block. I have a manual, but it doesnt say if there's a gasket between the two parts. I've also read in the manual that there's an oil slinger and oil slinger guard. I'd rather not take the engine out, my workspace is limited. Has anyone else had this type of leak? and what is the remedy?
