Install the filter kit. This is much more fool proof to operate. You need to change the filter at regular intervals,(just like the coolant itself).

Many coolant filters have a rubber sealing plug in the threaded hole. REMOVE the plug before installing or it won't work and will leak.

Take oil samples at every change and have them tested too.
