I got a chance to do a compresion test on my 460 today. If you have been following my exploits with this 460. You know it runs like crap. So far I have. Cleaned the advance wheights in the dist. Put new points and condencer. New cap and rotor. New plugs. Timed it. Rebuilt the carb. As best as I can. Exhaust flapper thing seems to work. Heat riser I think its called. That left me wondering if I had a burnt valve in the head. Comp test revealed. Cylinder #1 at 103 pounds #2 at 103 pounds #3 at 105 pounds #4 at 104 pounds #5 at 103 pounds #6 at 103 pounds Not sure if my tester is really all that accurate as far as highest reading its a cheapie. But it does show that all the cylinders are about the same condition. Wondering where to go now? By all rights this thing should be running like a top. I am leaning to the carb again. What say you?
