That coil is original? Quite old, so it may be weak. Check for weak spark hot or change coil. Renew the condensor and points for sure if original or rather old. Too lean on hot start-up possibly, adjust the low speed screw for best running engine hot. This screw will enrich the mix if you turn it in toward the seat. Works opposite to high speed needle. Is it running good hot both low and high speed, good power? Vapor lock is usually a condition in the fuel supply line caused by a fuel supply line running too close to hot parts. Check for lines too close to hot manifold etc.. I doubt vapor lock.
