If I understand the original question, the high speed mixture screw was removed & replaced. The problem may be that the screw needs to be backed out a turn or so.
The "power screw" is not connected to the "needle seat".
To clarify, the main jet is mated with the high speed mixture screw; the needle & seat are attached to the float.
Sorry for the corrections; it is the "old" teacher in me!!
