The parts books calls them seats. But Bob did not say needle and seat, as for the float, he said needle seat, which I consider correct. This is all irrelavant as CNH now calls seats, or orfices, "bits", the European terminology, at least that's what the computer printout called the last seat/orfice/jet that I ordered.
