I think someone did a partial 12 volt conversion on my rig (1953 Super C)however it appears as if I still have a 6 volt coil. All that seems to have been done was a 12 volt battery put in and a drop resistor between the coil and starter. I am not opposed to keeping my rig stock as I like my old timers to be that way. Is there a great disadvantage to 6 volt? A jumper wire is installed between the drop resistor and starter also. I am assuming this was done possibly because the start stop switch is not operating properly? The battery also had a disconnect added on to it so the neg side could be opened as if it were left on the battery gets drained down I am assuming by the coil somehow. Can you guys give me some tips on staying 6 volt or tell me how to go 12 volt properly if 6 volt is not a good way to keep it! Thanks Guys!! Rob
