Farmal Super C dead generator?

I am not a regular on this web board, but I do have 3 old Red tractors that I use around the farm. My Super C Farmal has developed a problem with charging. It doesn't show a charge on the voltmeter anymore. It shows a discharge, and after running for awhile the battery goes dead. If I charge the battery it stays up sitting in the barn, but runs down while using the tractor. For the last 10 or 20 years it never did seem to run the voltmeter very high, like my Cub Lowboy does. So, how do I check the generator and associated system? Are rebuild kits available for them somewhere? Brushes or other internal parts?
