I just went thru exactly the same thing with my 450D. I had her in a bind holding the brakes and tried to shift from reverse to neutral. The binding of the brakes along with being on a hill had the reverse gear in a bind so it would not shift easily. The other posts are correct about aligning the sliders...but I cheated. I shoved in on the clutch and had a friend pull me off the hill with the shift lever in the gear that locked up. That kept the other gears from locking up. Then I took the cotter key holding the spring and cover out so I could slide the cover up. I then took the swivel pin out of the shift lever and pulled it out of the socket. Then, using a long screw driver I aligned the shifter slots. Look close, you have to get all 6. The one that is stuck will be hard to see. I kept trying until I could roll the tractor by hand. I then put her all back together and she was fine. Now I am more careful when I shift her. Hope this helps...

The 3/42 had a 3 cylinder diesel engine which produced 42 bhp at 2,000 rpm. Th
