IH 560 D seems stuck in gear

I drove my 560 D into the shed one day and turned it off-everything normal. Next time I went to start it the tractor tried to move when I engaged the starter. I thought it was in gear but the lever was in neutral position. I moved the lever around and it seems to go in all the gears OK and feels normal. The clutch pedal also feels normal. In neutral tractor has always started without pushing in clutch. What gives??
