You are really confusing me. I have to assume that the screw, which is a bolt from the governor cover, was left inside of the governor and then it along with the spring made its way over to the gear causing that to jam. This then allowed the ditributor to turn after shearing the 2-3/8 inch bolts that hold the whole asembly?
