First off, I just wanted to say thank you all!!! Really appreciate all your input, and by no means did I feel "undershot" as someone may have thought. Like I mentioned, we're sort of new to Farmalls. I've been reading the archives, but one of the things I love about a fast moving forum is the human interaction!!! It's looking like an MV would be the way to go... A fine looking tractor. I'd also be very curious about a 450 high crop, but have yet to see a photo of one.... Someone mentioned making our own high crop out of an "M" and a cotton picker using bull gears... If that were the case, then the machine would be running backwards correct? I'm really liking the idea of the MV... Just sort of seems like a tractor I couldn't really go wrong with... Still I'm doing a lot of reading up on them... Did they ever use a narrow front? And, are they really that impossible to find??? One more thought, my wife (who is very taken Mr Red :){grin}) will not be "farming" with the tractor. I think that with some basic caution, she should be able to handle it OK... No hills, or ruts.... Mostly to drive during the tractor shows' "parade of power" drive around the fair grounds... Mostly first gear stuff... Anyway thanks again! Adam
