Farmall M with noise in rearend/PTO

I have a farmall M that makes a light clunking noise when driving or when PTO is in gear. PTO seal went out when noise was first heard, pulled PTO shaft out, and still same noise. Looks like hydraulic pump coupler is loose, has some slop in it, and sounds like same noise, but hard to tell. Any suggestions? Thanks. Hoss
