Took apart the carb on my new H. It was running terrible and had rust and water in the tank. I took the carb apart to clean it, btw lacquer thinner seemed to work really well at cleaning the gunk off of the carb. Anyway when I removed the mixture screw the seat was stuck on the end of it, the packing was shot also. After reading several posts in the archives, I guess I need to get the Complete kit from CaseIH. How will I get the new seat to stay in place? Any other words of wisdom when rebuilding these carbs? Also, do I dare mess with the metering jet? This tractor had D16 plugs in it. What should the gap be? The manual I have suggested 0.020-0.025 for D15 plugs. The only work this this will see is Hay Rides and mowing of 10 acres of pasture twice a year. It"s also an X3 with about 85 PSI in each cylinder. Is that low? Thanks
