JRB, There is a bearing in front of the worm gear that sometimes goes bad and will cause a lot of shake,it is behind the big nut on the front of the oil reservoir. This bearing is usually available a IH dealers or a good bearing supply house. Also some H's have a round gear on top that can be taken off and rotated half way around and to get it out of the worn area. If it has a cut gear and it is worn badly you may want to replace it.Check the rims if the are warped bad they can add to your problem.Sorry for the long answer but have been there a couple of times. Hope this helps. ED
