504 winter block heating

My chore tractor is an IH 504 diesel. Starts fine on the glow plugs in moderate weather, but hard to start below freezing. I'm in western Washington, where winter lows are usually in the 20's, so lots of tractors have never had a block heater system, and this one doesn't. Any suggestions on what kind to get? Was there a factory setup that might still be available in aftermarket form? Any suggestions appreciated.
