Got it out and all torn down and starting into the cleaning process and o-ring id's. Got all the orings figured out except for 4. All literature I and the dealer have shows 2 o-rings that I think can be identified in the breakdown on the new style block. What I have left over is 2 tan o-rings, same size. I think they go behind the connecting rod yoke that gets bolted down on the main rockshaft pistons. They show them on the newer style breakdown at the dealer but not on the old in the service manual from binder. And the breakdown at the dealer doesnt exclude them from the old style block like it does on other parts in the notes. Is it worth tearing the conn rods down for a look? Does anyone know if there are o-rings between the yoke and piston on the old style units? The other 2 are black, one small, one large and there is only 1 of eack in the kit. Cant find a home for these anywhere at all. Also the bores where the front and rear check valve bushings reside are discolored in places, a light tan. Dont know what caused this, heat??. Should I clean them up with crocus? Or leave them alone, they feel smooth. Do you think it would be alright to use silicone or hi tack and the gasket on the bottom cover. Sorry to be long winded, just want to get it right the first time. Thank You, scott#2
