Bill, In that case (inc info from Hass, CNKS, and sure of shorter serial number) you probably do have a hybrid built from an A and a C. Don't know how many people are doing this (and you didn't say where you were from) but I have a friend that has been doing just this mod and reselling the tractors for ~25-30 yrs. So it is certainly possible, but I don't know of too many people that have gone through the learning curve that this guy has. Thanks CNKS and Hass for chasing down the casting numbers, I havn't had time today. Your engine block casting number should be 251069R1 and the engine serial number (machined on a small flat just above the distributor) should have either FCM prefix if it came from a C, or a FAAM prefix if it came from an Super A donor tractor.
