Allan, I envy you for the "years and years". Mine was about 3-4 years when I was 11-15 or so. Dad retired and bil took over farming and took me along on his "snowbird" trips to TX. After HS I went off in another direction. Fortunately I had a bil who always trusted me with his equipment when I was around, and one fall about 20 years ago I took some time and spent the harvest with bil. I had a ball - running combine and corn head, plowing with one of those big red beasts, driving trucks, even some major combine maintenance late at night. I now regret I didn't do more over the last 20 years. I certainly trust your knowledge, and I have a major case of CRS myself, but I distinctly remember that sticky spot in the lift handle and that you had to push it through that. Exactly why or what caused it, I do not know.
