Try unhooking the linkage from the lever on the injection pump and manually moving the lever to the kill position when you want to shut if off. This will tell you if it's in the linkage or in the pump itself. If it's in the linkage, you should be able to take the lever off the pump and move it one spline in the proper direction rather than messing with the adjustments on the linkage itself. If it turns out to be in the pump, let me know and I can try to scan some things out of my pump manual that deal with this.
