cajunace,I beleive you should put a head gasket on dry.Now all that copper gasket goop has nowhere to go.In my opinion the head gasket [dry]should be squeezed by the machined surfaces of the head and block.Take the head off remove the goop retorque and see what happens.Anyone that put that stuff on a Harley drag motor with no head gaskets even used was having sealing problems.At 70-80 ft lbs its all trying to squeeze out.[IM not a real doctor just trying to help]
