The automotive paint is better ONLY if you use hardener with it, but you can also put hardener in the IH paint so basically it looks like a draw to me. That being said, I use the IH paint without hardener, and a gas spill on the tank will look bad but I have always been able to remove the stain with rubbing compound, and then a coat of good wax and the paint looks like new again. If you actually use your tractor for work, then the higher priced paint just doesn't make sense. Sooner or later the paint will get scratched, (even with hardener) and repairs and touch-ups are much easier with the IH paint without hardener.
