Name brand paints, particularly urethanes, are superior to both tractor store and dealer paints. You get what you pay for. I would try to keep gas off all of them, cured or not. The use of hardener requires a supplied air system, one shot deal or not. Made me sick after the second application. I say this because most people take hardeners lightly -- ain't so. Another advantage to PPG, DuPont etc, is that the spec sheets clearly say what to use for primers, reducers, hardeners, etc. and give exact instructions for their use. They work as a system, no mixing and matching, follow the instructions, and if you have any skill at all, it is hard to mess up. That makes them EASIER to use than cheap paints. Dealer paints are for dealers who give the customers tractor a quick paint job after an overhaul, etc, or for the person who really does not have the time or desire to remove the various parts of the tractor and prep them properly. If you do a lot of prep work, there is little sense in using cheap paint. If you don't want to do the proper prep work it makes little sense to use expensive paint. Paint is one area, perhaps the only area where OEM is inferior to aftermarket.
