John, It says BMB on the side in very faded letters. The shell has been welded on a few times by an amateur stick weldor as far as I can tell. Another non-professional will be welding on it a little more sometime this summer :). I still have to do some more work to the M. I bought it for $150 and it runs great, but appears to have a blown head gasket, is missing a fender and is badly in need of a paint job. Its an XIB for high altitude pistons. I just hope the head isnt cracked (water in the oil), or the amateur welder may be attempting cast iron (a mystical process that I understand involves drilling holes, funny nickel rods some sand and church attendance in the front row would be a plus). I may have to let a pro do this for me. Here is a picture of the M Kurt
