The kits are pretty cheap at some of the farm & ranch stores or online. My 49 SA has a Zenith carb (I think) Real easy to take off & take apart. Try that first. Most of the time when mine starts running rough under load, it"s starving for fuel, It clogs up with crap where it drains out of the tank into the sediment bowl. I keep a piece of clear 1/2" hose rolled up under the seat. I shut it off, take the sediment bowl off, put one end of that hose up into the outlet, & blow into it until it gurgles back inside the tank. Usually good for a few more laps! I"ve tried cleaning that tank a dozen times, & it still gets stopped up.
