I usually haunt the Ford and Ferguson boards as I've yet to acquire any red paint for my collection, but my buddy bought a super sharp '55 300 at a sale last weekend and I thought I'd ask here for a little advice. The machine runs like a champ and for the most part everything seems to be mechanically AOK except for the PTO. It's not working. We tried moving the lever on the bottom of the belly, but that didn't get us anything either. His grandfather is a long time Farmall man and he said it's likely got a broken shifter fork and will need to be split to fix. Here's the big question: Are there any similarities or interchangeability between the PTO parts on this 300 and an M? His gramps has an M behind the shed that's being used for parts. If not, are there any models that will interchange? Thanks in advance!
