So i got this nice little W4 at auction in october and the old fella always had it running, but it sat all winter in the weather, I had it started for a few seconds in january on a warm day (i'm in ontario) and again a few times last weekend. It was converted to 12V (real home job), and i have not openered her up beyond necessary, I have cleaned the points, and she starts with a touch of chock, then fires right up when the chock is pushed in. I start it with the throttle more than half open. Then it idles fast for a bit and if i even wiggle the throttle she shuts off like i pulled the plugs. When she turns over with no ignition gas is draining out the air intake. can this be normal, is my carb all out of wack? I was talking to the guy who serviced it for the old man and says it should not be giving me trouble. So what do i do? try? also what service manual do i get for it? the one sold on this site?? Thanks guys Tom
