Paul, I now have 6 Farmall tractors and one 460U -- haven't had much trouble with CIH getting parts for all of them -- not all parts but most. You cannot expect any manufacturer to produce all parts for all 50-70 year old tractors, or newer for that matter. They are under no obligation to do that and I commend them for doing it. I find it amazing that I can call in a part number and get the part the next day. I do expect the availablilty of parts to decline as the years go by. That is simply part of the game. Unfortunately the 300, 350, and 460 utilities did not share many parts with their respective row crop versions, engines excluded -- a "shortage" of parts for these tractors is to be expected. If you think chassis components for a 300U are hard to come by, try a 460U -- but I'm not complaining as I am more than happy to get what I can. As to the cost -- well, this is one of the world's most expensive hobbies. When I can't afford it, I'll quit.
