i recently aquired a farmall M tractor that belonged to my grandfather until he passed on in 99. Anyway i"ve got it running but i want to know how to check the hydrolic/rearend fluid and how do i add more if it"s needed? Any help is appriciated. And another thing is he claimed there was something special about the rear end and i noticed when i drove it that gears 1-4 all seem to be really close together and they are all really low...there is a speed change but it is not much, and then road gear (5) is like i remember. What could be special about it? any help is appriciated.
