Farmall H 12 volt switch over!

I know this has been discussed several times on here, so if I may ask one more time for some expert advice. I have a 43 "H" and I want to convert it to 12 volts, and I want to try to keep from doing to much fab work on an alternator bracket. What is a good altenator to fit under the hood? What do I do about a coil, I know I need to install some resistance in the circuit, but where? Do I need to go to a 12 Volt coil? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
