I installed a Hysler overdrive in a 37 F-12, about 50 years ago. The front gear and input shaft came out of the tractor, and the overdrive bolted into its place. I believe there was some shims supplied to get the bevel gears set together right. If I rember correctlly, the 1st overdrive position was a little faster then 3rd. It definetly made it a better tractor, but we were in the hills, and it did not have the power to make a hill in 3rd overdrive with a wagon load of ear corn. The pulley and PTO run too fast in overdrive to be of any use. Delbert from Lincoln
