Serial #s - Super M

OK. I went to an auction today in western Iowa. The Super M that was for sale had the letters
"C J" following the serial number. Usually the SMs just have the J code. I thought this might have been originally set up as a cotton tractor. The only difference I could see from other Farmalls was that the clutch and brake pedals were different and the PTO shutoff came up through a hole in the top of the PTO shield. Any ideas (P.S. - it sold for $1,700)
