I know this is the Farmall board, but I'd take the ford any day over the Farmall. You can't compare a tractor without a 3-point for one you can use with modern implements. I have a BN that I love (a narrow front end version of an A), but it excells at pulling a wagon. If Iever could find an implement for it, it might be usefull, but no hydraulics limits it as well. Sentimental doesn't cut it when you got work to do.

My real workhorse is a Ford 2N which is an earlier versin of an 8N. I brush hog (pulls a 5 footer all day in second), mow (6 foot finish mower) post hole digs (live hydraulics would be nice, but not neccesary), Plows (6 foot back blade and chains all you need for upstate NY winters). I am not sure if Farmall has anything to compete with an N series Ford. The Letter series like H's and M's are a little big. the 140 and 240 would be the closest, but the 3-point conversion brings them in the price of a Ford.

The reason all them "yuppies" have N's (actually they all have Kubotas, is couse they are a good tractor.

By the way, I really love Farmalls, but just for farming.
