ive got a 706 with 282 and love it. when i bought it it had fast hitch, narrow front, and worn rear tires. i put a shwartz front under it. it had the swinging drawbar on the fh, so i fabricated the drawbar and support. i put ford 7000 3 point arms on it, as they were cheaper than ih arms. i just mowed, raked and baled 40 acres of hay on about 40 gallons of fuel. i had a 300 gas before which had a hard time holding the baler and wagons back on hills, and had a hard time pulling them up the hills sometimes, and used a ton more fuel. the 706 stops without having to put the drawbar down, and steering is super too. i would agree with the others about the tires though. the cheapest 18.4 38's ive seen were about 350 each. otherwise it sounds like you found a good one. nate
