MaybeI found the distributor gears. I took two screws out of a plate with a gasket and removed it, then there was a bigger plastic gear that pulled out, and a smaller gear that was part of the black plastic piece for the rotor. The poles have more surface rust than I thought they did, but it isn't deep pitting. What's there of the impulse has a lot of surface rust on the round plate part of it, and some on two pawls diagonal to each other. Some wear is there on the pawls, but I don't think excessive. Springs are there. There is also some surface rust outside of the shaft seal area. Sorry for the lack of terms, haven't had time to sit down and study on the manual yet, but I plan to tonight. This is my first mag. I pulled it off of a parts tractor that has a distributor on it. I'd like to put parts in it, but I may lack the tools necessary to fully rebuild it (blasting or cleaning up surfaces on parts).
