Hey all. I'm "this" close to buying a '70 826. It has 8K hours, runs very well, looks OK, very good rubber, dual PTOs, dual hyd. Everything seems to work. It appears to be the gear drive unit (L + H and 4-speeds) and has no TA , I think (I didn't actually know WTH they were until reading the posts!). I 've looked at it once and after reading the bazillion postings on this model, I know enough to give it a second look. I now drive a "blue" tractor, but need more hp for tillage on what's more or less a hobby farm. I want to pull a 5-shank chisel plow, sometimes a 3-16 moldboard plow (clay ground), a 15 foot cultimulcher and about the same size disc and conventional drill (for now). Will probably only put 50-60 hours a year on it. Does eeryone agree that this is a good tractor for use as outlined above? Any problems to look for? I only noted one possible concern, an oil leak from a housing cover on the left side, down low (about under the steering column area). I did check for coolant in the oil. Your comments appreciated! Jim Allen

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
