cub lowboy is spuddering and spitting under load

i have a cublowboy with woods mower deck that spuders and spits when i hit taller grass.the problem started to happen once in awile then it started happening more often usually after the tractor is well warmed up,now the problem is getting worse.Today i had to quit early because i couldn't mow 15 ft.and it would start doing it again. any sugg.would help
