tractor wan't start

hey guys how's it going,couldn't get my tractor started the past couple of days tried jumping,took battery out of my truck, and even put a new battery in it and all i get is a slooow turnover, checked cables and all other connections and all seems good, you fellas always have good answers i myself cant figure it out, oh by the why it's a 966 diesel with one battery sure could use the help thanks ulgy
