966D with one battery? What's in the other battery box? You need TWO NEW BATTERIES! Never replace just one. These old 966's should start before you can even get your thumb off the button.
But if one of those batteries is shot you don't have a prayer.
It will cost you 180 bucks but your tractor will come to life whenever, whatever.
