Firing order is 1342, dist cap looks like this viewed from the rear: 2 1 4 3 Thus a firing order of 4321 is impossible. The distributer rotor rotates clockwise viewed from the rear. It is possible to get it 180 degrees out of phase and have it run correctly. However your timing is not off if you haven't changed it. But, if you want to retime it, set the #1 cylinder on TDC -- put your finger in the #1 hole and hand crank until you get pressure, intake and exhaust valves are closed. Rotate the distributer COUNTER clockwise a quarter turn or so (if mag put the top against the block). Pull the coil wire out of the dist cap and hold 1/4 inch from the terminal on the side of the distributer. Rotate the dist/mag clockwise until the mag trips or the distributer sparks. At this time, the hard to find mark on the flywheel should be lined up with the mark on the cover behind the oil pan.
