I cant guarantee on your Voltage Regulator, but on most Ive ever seen that are 4 wire (BAT ARM FLD LOAD) VR's, the terminal on the bottom or off on one side all by itslef is indeed the ARM terminal, especially if the 3 on top are labeled BAT FLD and LOAD No, if you replaced a charging system that only had a 2 wire Cutout Relay and used the light switch for Generator Field Current Control BUT YOU REPLACED IT WITH A FULL FLEDGED 3 OR 4 WIRE VOLTAGE RREGULATOR, the resistors in the light switch which were used for the Generators field current control ARE NOT THEN USED. On 3 brush generators which I convert from 2 wire cutout relays over to Voltage Regulators, I set the Gens 3rd brush to the MAX charge position. John T, retired electrical engineer in Indiana
