IH made power unit versions of nearly every engine they made. The A/C engine was used for the U-2 and U-2A Power Units. There were many differences in the details. Spark arrestors could be screwed into the manifold in place of the pipe. They were available for the tractors as well. The U-2 engine will have a large cutout on the block to mount the starter ahead of the flywheel. Consequently, you will not be able to use one of the bolts that holds the tractor together. To fit this engine in the tractor you will also have to use the flywheel from the tractor engine. Otherwise, it should bolt up, but will be obviously a power unit engine. The C-135 engine was also used in power units and looks vert similar to the A engine. I don't know if it will fit.
