As described, it is not rocket science in there. Clean with Brake-Clean, or other spray solvent. don't breath the dust, it is asbestos laden. lube the three balls in the wedge plates with a -thin- coat of moly anti sieze or silicon grease, not oil. Use Tri-flow spray on the linkage pivot points, but don't get it on any surfaces. Sanding the friction surfaces will clean them up. sand around and around, not across the surfaces, and evenly. The little rubber boots on the front keep water out to a degree, but use is the best preservative. If the friction plates are even half worn compared to new, the brakes may not have enough adjustment to work well. Expect two years or so out of the cleaning. Been in there a lot. JimN
