706 Gas - Good buy or not?

Been driving by a 706 gas narrow front on my way to work everyday for the last couple weeks with a for sale sign. Found out it's got a 8n loader on it, rebuilt engine, good rear tires. Through a friend of the owner, found out he's asking around $2000-2500 for it. I understand it does not have 3-point...is that something that can be added via the aftermarket? I understand the T/A is fine. Owners mom (!) used it to mow pasture, which is my intended use. What kind of HP does the six provide...i.e- what size bush hog could I pull?
